·         November 12, 2009, Bonnie Broderick presented on the Public Health Department’s (PHD’s) plan to submit grant applications to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in response to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009: Communities Putting Prevention to Work (CPPW).  The PHD plans to submit 2 applications; one for tobacco prevention and control, and one for obesity, physical activity and nutrition.  The board passed a motion to support the two grant applications with two Resolutions to be submitted along with the applications:
